Thistle be it.

I'm proud of this. I thought it would be hard to draw an average sized woman holding down a fat man with one arm, and it be convincing.

This'll probably be the last post like this. Maybe ever. I have plans and ideas. And I like them, so I think I'm gonna run with them.

Explanation to follow. I'm going to go to sleep now though.

The beginnings of a no-name town

All in all, pretty simple and straight forward. Step 1; lay the town out Step 2; design the buildings Step 3; combine Step 1 & 2 for town (currently I'm still on step 2) A little generic looking, but that was the idea. Gas and Auto shop. I did this cover a while ago. I'm so behind on everything, I can't believe I'm just getting to this. Everyone in charge was flexible, so I pretty much did whatever I wanted. Its double sided ; the back cover is the other side's view of the front. There wasn't much behind it, other than I don't remember seeing a two sided cover like that and wanted to. (I'm sure it's not the first, I'm just saying I haven't seen one) I'm pretty happy with it, not because I think it's great, but that it looks as good as it does given the tiny bit of time I had to do it in. There wasn't much planning. This is all of the planning and prep work that took place before it was drawn-  Despite the stamp, this was not drawn on July 26. Drawing Table Tuesday

Let's see, how do I explain this... I've been trying to decide on a side project for what seems like a couple years now. I've chosen recently, so I've been working on it for a few weeks now.  It seems like there were about a hundred  thousand things that led me to it, but I'd guess it started a couple years ago, when I was talking to Staci about ideas for another sketchbook. I'm not sure what they'll be used for when I'm finished, but I think they're going to be a little more meaningful than I originally intended. I think the idea really came from wanting to give popular culture the middle finger; sort of a rage against the machine ideology. Eventually the idea evolved, and I settled on a little more complex idea, really liked it, and sort of ran with it. I love the idea and, simultaneously, it's against about a thousand things I've grown to hate roll my eyes at (hate's a strong word, more like grown tired of ) . I love thing
